PBID 2016 – First Piedmont Bioinformatics Day

On September 22nd, 2016 Prof. Alfredo Benso participated in the first edition of the Piedmont Bioinformatics Day. He gave a talk about Enhancement and motif identification in regulatory networks, presenting a structured bioinformatic approach to experimental design for discovering and validating miRNAs of interest. The meeting took place at the Molecular Biotechnology Center in Turin, Italy. The organisers (Prof. Raffaele Calogero (Molecular Biotechnology Center, UNITO), Dr. Francesca Cordero (Dept. Computer Science, UNITO) and Dr. Marco Beccuti (Dept. Computer Science, UNITO) ) intended the event as “a symposium on Bioinformatics, Systems Biology and Computational Biology in Piedmont, open to researchers, students and practitioners”.
