Food forgery is an increasing phenomena with a severe economical and healt impact.
SysBio group collaborates in the framework of the “OK il Pesce è giusto” coordinated by IZSTO project for the development of a mobile app forf fish forgery identification.
The app that will be available soon for iOS and Android enables to detect fish forgery through image analisys and machine learning tecniques.
The user only needs to shoot a picture of a fish and select a target species using his smart-phone and submit everything
to the remote server through the app. The server applies complex image processing algorithms and machine learning
techniques to classify the fish and detect forgeries.
The app is developed for EXPOTO 2015
